Lynkeos Secures £1.6 million Innovate UK First-Of-A-Kind Deployment of Innovation Contract

It has just been announced that Lynkeos Technology Ltd. has been successful in their application for funding through Innovate UK’s pioneering First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) Deployment of Innovation competition.  This 12-month 100%-funded contract worth £1.6 million will begin on 1st April 2017.

During this yearlong contract, Lynkeos will work alongside the University of Glasgow, National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) and National Physical Laboratory (NPL) to commercialise their Muon Imaging System ahead of the first deployment of muon tomography technology within the global nuclear industry.   This FOAK deployment will take place at NNL Preston Laboratory at Springfields in early 2018.  As part of this contract, a Lynkeos facility will be established in Falkirk to fabricate this commercial system.
